Base Salary
$320k - $405k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build the event bus, normalized event schema, source adapters, and contracts for sensor and system integrations.
- Develop correlation and alerting services that turn independent events into actionable analyst alerts.
- Build computer vision, multi-sensor fusion, and other classification and analytics pipelines.
- Create analyst queues, escalation tooling, dashboards, camera viewers, video wall content, and video analytics integrations.
- Deliver tamper-evident event history, evidence exports, retention controls, and access controls.
- Implement metrics, self-monitoring, telemetry-loss alarms, fail-secure behavior, and rule-change auditing.
- Deploy and commission site-local components, central services, and configuration synchronization across data center sites.
- Specify servers, storage, and network segmentation requirements and direct vendor and integrator deliverables.
- Participate in on-call support for critical services and travel regularly to data center sites.
Requirements
- Production experience building and operating event-driven backend systems.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python, Go, or Rust and experience with a message bus or event-streaming system such as Kafka.
- Experience owning systems end to end, including design, tradeoffs, delivery, and production accountability.
- Experience integrating external vendor APIs, on-premises appliances, video platforms, building systems, or other systems outside the team’s control.
- Experience writing vendor requirements and acceptance criteria, reviewing deliverables, and deciding whether work is accepted.
- Ability to design and test for silent feeds, lost network paths, replayed events, de-tuned rules, and other unexpected failures.
- Experience building tools for operators who use them under pressure and iterating with those operators.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in a relevant field demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
- Preferred experience with security operations platforms, ML or computer vision inference pipelines, PSIM or VMS integrations, physical access control and building systems data, auditor evidence, and AI-assisted development tooling.
Benefits
- Annual base salary of $320,000—$405,000 USD.
- Visa sponsorship is offered, with an effort caveat for roles and candidates that cannot be successfully sponsored.
- Hybrid work policy requiring staff to be in an office at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office time.
