Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the roadmap, goals, and priorities for the Audio ML effort and coordinate supporting workstreams.
- Collaborate with research scientists, audio engineers, and software developers to integrate models into the Starline system and launch audio features.
- Train, evaluate, and fine-tune models for speech enhancement, sound separation, classification, and remixing.
- Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient C++ audio infrastructure.
- Optimize model inference for real-time, low-latency performance on CPU and GPU platforms.
- Design and implement data-processing pipelines for preparing and augmenting training data using TFRoomSim and automated labeling.
- Participate in on-duty rotations, diagnose and triage audio-stack alerts, bugs, and issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of software development experience.
- At least 5 years of experience working with and evaluating audio or speech processing ML models.
- At least 5 years of experience with speech enhancement, audio quality assessment, audio signal processing, and sound separation.
- At least 5 years of experience developing, integrating, and maintaining code in C++ and Python.
- At least 5 years of experience analyzing problems, designing solutions, and implementing them with code.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: extensive Python experience, including deep learning frameworks such as JAX and Keras.
- Preferred: experience with real-time audio processing and optimization techniques.
- Preferred: experience understanding, managing, or appropriately routing issues.
- Preferred: excellent communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
