Responsibilities
- Own and evolve Irregular’s cloud infrastructure with emphasis on scalability, security, and reliability.
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Lead and improve containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation frameworks such as Terraform.
- Own production readiness, including availability, monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response.
- Support research, engineering, testing, and production needs through scalable infrastructure.
- Drive improvements in system performance, reliability, and security posture.
- Lead architectural decisions, long-term infrastructure planning, and operational best-practice development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps or Infrastructure Engineer in production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS architecture, networking, security, and cost awareness.
- Proven production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions or similar tools.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation, such as Terraform.
- Ability to take end-to-end ownership and operate independently in an early-stage, high-ambiguity environment.
- Experience working with research or security teams in production environments is preferred.
- Experience supporting data-heavy, distributed, or high-scale systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar monitoring, observability, and alerting tools is preferred.
