Base Salary
$130k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Enhance, optimize, and improve the robustness of existing code bases as a systems integrator.
- Use infrastructure-as-code and modern tools to define, build, and manage virtual infrastructure in the cloud.
- Design and implement core software architecture and capabilities from prototype through operational applications.
- Integrate open-source code and develop custom software components to solve complex problems using cloud and Big Data technologies.
- Identify and solve problems autonomously while working toward strategic goals established by team architects.
Requirements
- A current Secret U.S. government security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
- Requires 5+ years of Platform Engineering or Software Development experience with a related bachelor’s degree, or 3 years of relevant experience with a related master’s degree, or 9 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience developing infrastructure in AWS is required.
- Solid understanding of Linux systems, hosts, networks, security, and applications is required.
- Proficiency in shell scripting, including Shell/Bash, is required.
- Must obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with DISA’s Big Data Platform or other Big Data systems, CI/CD pipeline experience, standard software development tool suites, and Puppet, Ansible, Maven, or virtualization experience.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to work in a hybrid environment with schedule flexibility.
