Responsibilities
- Design, implement, integrate, and test audio firmware for Google hearable consumer devices.
- Develop infrastructure that supports algorithmic development in collaboration with research science and technology development teams.
- Own and integrate audio software with broader end-to-end system features.
- Support or develop debugging, tuning, and data-collection tools.
- Collaborate with product, UX, and hardware counterparts to define, scope, understand, and deliver requirements for new audio features.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience coding in low-level systems programming languages such as C++ or C and scripting languages such as Python or Tcl.
- Experience developing embedded systems.
- Preferred experience with audio processing.
- Preferred experience with DSPs such as HIFI and ARM processors.
- Strong interest in both system code and algorithms, with the ability to switch between them as needed.
