
Senior Engineer -Embedded Software Test
Schneider ElectricResponsibilities
- Create, optimize, and execute test plans, test strategies, and test cases for three-phase UPS embedded firmware.
- Perform firmware functional, logic, exception-scenario, and boundary-condition testing.
- Identify, document, track, reproduce, and regression-test firmware defects.
- Collaborate with firmware development, hardware, and product teams to investigate software issues and close corrective actions.
- Build, debug, maintain, and calibrate test environments and equipment.
- Prepare test records, test data, and test reports while improving testing processes and efficiency.
- Track new embedded-firmware testing technologies and methods for power-electronics products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, power electronics, software engineering, or a related STEM field.
- 3–5 years of embedded firmware software testing experience and familiarity with the complete firmware testing process.
- Experience testing power equipment, industrial control, or power-supply products is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic power electronics, embedded firmware principles, testing tools and methods, and defect-management processes.
- Ability to independently complete module testing, analyze issues, locate root causes, and control release quality.
- Fluent English reading, writing, and communication skills, including reading technical materials and conducting work coordination and presentations in English.
- Experience with embedded simulation testing platforms and basic hardware analysis or hardware-software troubleshooting is preferred.
- Strong learning ability, teamwork, initiative, review and retrospection habits, and resilience under pressure.
