Responsibilities

  • Design and build native iOS or Android software according to business requirements, UX designs, and architectural guidelines.
  • Develop high-quality, reusable, maintainable software through unit testing, system integration testing, debugging, documentation, and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with software engineers in Scrum teams across multiple concurrent customer-facing mobile projects.
  • Participate in proof-of-concept work for new technologies and document findings.
  • Troubleshoot application defects, determine root causes, and implement resolutions.
  • Follow security coding practices and review peer code to help ensure defect-free programming.
  • Manage workload and timelines while contributing to a collaborative, innovative team environment.
  • Keep current with mobile technologies and share knowledge with team members.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate technology program such as Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology Management, or Computing.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, implementation, and maintenance, plus an understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Strong coding, debugging, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with Git, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Android candidates: familiarity with Android SDK level 21 or later, Retrofit, Dagger2, Android Studio, Gradle, Emulator, Kotlin, and Java.
  • iOS candidates: experience with iOS development using Swift and development tools including Xcode and storyboards; Objective-C experience is preferred.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly, work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and develop customer-focused solutions.
  • Applications must include a resume of no more than two pages and a school transcript.
