Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of AI and data solutions by translating architecture and client objectives into executable technical delivery plans.
- Provide technical direction, coaching, and unblock engineering teams while aligning client architecture, security, and risk stakeholders.
- Set and enforce standards for code, evaluation, testing, CI/CD, security, Responsible AI, observability, and documentation.
- Manage technical, governance, scalability, maintainability, cloud-consumption, model-cost, and token-cost risks.
- Oversee release readiness, production launch, handover, and stabilization of customer solutions.
- Participate in architecture decisions, code reviews, and prototyping, with up to 30% of time spent hands-on.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in software, data, cloud, or AI engineering, including at least two years in a technical leadership role.
- Experience helping complex solutions move from design to production.
- Understanding of modern AI systems and production contexts, including LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, MLOps or LLMOps, data pipelines, and cloud platforms.
- Ability to provide technical direction, coach engineers, facilitate reviews, and promote shared responsibility for quality and delivery.
- Ability to explain complex technical trade-offs involving feasibility, risk, cost, and maintainability to engineers and senior client stakeholders.
- Strong technical depth combined with reliable delivery and production oversight.
- Technical higher-education level or equivalent experience-based qualification.
- Strong English communication skills and important Dutch communication skills for Dutch-language assignments and client conversations.
- Experience with production Python, LLM applications, RAG and/or agentic systems, and at least one cloud platform, typically Azure.
- Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code; familiarity with AI-output evaluation, GenAI observability, on-premises or private cloud infrastructure, and AI governance is advantageous.
