Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy secure and privacy-preserving features for Axon camera systems.
- Coordinate development across desktop, mobile application, and backend service platforms.
- Set a high technical bar through code and architecture design reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues affecting the team.
- Resolve ambiguity and conflicting product requirements.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers.
- Work with product managers and designers to develop effective customer solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or an equivalent technical field.
- At least six years of professional experience in embedded software development.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Golang, and other relevant programming languages.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, runtime analysis, object-oriented design, and code quality verification.
- Experience writing unit, integration, and/or system-level tests.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in embedded software development.
- Proven experience with Embedded Linux development.
- Solid networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and TLS/SSL, with hands-on experience in WiFi, LTE, and GPS technologies.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: familiarity with Jenkins, TeamCity, Git, and Jira.
- Preferred: knowledge of computing security best practices, Yocto, embedded Linux-based build systems, and cloud services.
