Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure for customer managed hosting environments.
- Ensure service availability, reliability, resilience, scalability, security, compliance, disaster recovery, and cost efficiency.
- Participate in the on-call pool and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues.
- Implement cloud operations best practices and improve operational efficiency through automation.
- Help control cloud costs and make processes predictable and automated.
- Drive technical initiatives and decisions across and beyond the team.
- Provide hands-on guidance, mentorship, and collaborative problem-solving to peers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of system engineering experience, including at least 3 years working with Azure cloud services.
- Technical proficiency with Azure SQL databases, Azure Service Bus, Azure WAF, and Azure Front Door.
- Understanding of networking, with VPN configuration experience as a plus.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure security, cloud-native technologies, desired state configuration, and infrastructure development.
- Experience with Terraform, AKS, Azure Stack, Helm Charts, Kubernetes, and Istio.
- Excellent English and strong communication skills.
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure.
- Mentorship skills and the ability to provide hands-on guidance to peers.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification preferred.
