Responsibilities
- Develop high-fidelity models of vehicle dynamics, interceptor performance, and weapon-system effectiveness.
- Implement resource models and control systems for asset allocation and tasking against dynamic threats.
- Build physics-based simulations and mission-engineering tools for operational scenarios.
- Develop trajectory prediction and state-estimation capabilities for threats and friendly assets.
- Tailor models and simulations to mission-critical customer use cases.
- Integrate modeling and simulation technologies into the command-and-control software stack from requirements through testing and optimization.
- Translate technical progress into actionable insights for colleagues, operators, and end users.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in algorithm design, software development, and mathematical modeling.
- Programming expertise in Python and MATLAB; C/C++ experience is a plus.
- Experience with guidance, navigation, and control; trajectory prediction and state estimation; or predictive models for vehicle dynamics and weapon-system effectiveness.
- Exposure to resource modeling, control systems, mission engineering, simulation, and validated technical models.
- Understanding of linear algebra, optimization, and statistics for physics-based modeling and simulation.
- Familiarity with path-planning and graph-search algorithms such as A* and D* Lite.
- Exposure to machine learning for planning and decision-making, including reinforcement learning, learned heuristics, and behavior prediction.
- Ability to write robust concurrent code and work across prototyping, production optimization, and development lifecycles.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Rust experience and physics-based modeling of interceptors or high-speed aerial vehicles are preferred.
