Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure AWS infrastructure supporting SAP workloads.
- Use Terraform and Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and SAP deployment processes.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for reliable SAP deployments on AWS.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and proactively monitor and optimize cloud performance and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with SAP Basis, development, and operations teams to integrate SAP with cloud infrastructure and build operational capabilities.
- Maintain cloud infrastructure documentation and procedures.
- Participate in security assessments and compliance audits for the SAP environment.
- Stay current with cloud technologies and industry best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
- Follow the organization’s Code of Conduct and ITIL processes.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer focused on cloud technologies.
- Extensive experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, CloudFormation, FSx, VPC, and IAM.
- In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles and Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with GitHub, TeamCity, Octopus, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, and Artifactory for CI/CD and automation.
- Understanding of cloud networking and security best practices.
- Experience administering RHEL or SUSE Linux is advantageous.
- Strong Python and Bash scripting skills.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes, including incident, change, and problem management, and agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or another relevant AWS certification is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
- Experience with SAP environments and tools is desirable.
