Base Salary
$220k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain infrastructure and tooling for Kalepa’s core platform.
- Maintain deployment pipelines and automate operational workflows.
- Improve infrastructure performance, reliability, scalability, and cloud cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to standardize environments and deployment patterns.
- Maintain observability and incident response processes.
- Support secure and compliant cloud-based systems.
- Contribute to scalable backend solutions with full-stack, data, AI, and DevOps engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering or DevOps experience, ideally including infrastructure, performance, security, or compliance work.
- Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Python or a strong background in another object-oriented language.
- Experience with serverless technologies including Lambda and EC2, asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and database performance tuning, ideally PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of Terraform, infrastructure-as-code best practices, and Docker or similar tools.
- Ability to take ownership, drive projects with minimal oversight, communicate proactively, and iterate through experimentation.
- Experience with LLMs, generative AI, or distributed systems is a bonus.
