Base Salary
$125k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain web applications, APIs, backend services, and lambdas for Loop’s products.
- Plan work and articulate intent using AI agents before implementation.
- Review AI-generated code rigorously and validate that it is correct.
- Include meaningful test coverage in every pull request and contribute to a healthy CI/CD process.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers while owning outcomes in ambiguous situations.
- Identify risks, make reversible decisions quickly, and ensure work is stable in customers’ hands.
- Improve engineering effectiveness through code review, support-ticket pattern recognition, and early identification of cross-team dependencies.
Requirements
- 2–4+ years of experience building web applications, backend services, or APIs.
- Practical experience using AI agents, including planning tasks, prompting agents, evaluating output, and determining review priorities.
- Ability to identify incorrect or risky AI-generated code and take ownership of shipped software regardless of how it was produced.
- A considered perspective on where AI helps engineers and where it creates risks, supported by real experience.
- Experience with PHP/Laravel, AWS Serverless, or Vue.js is preferred but not required.
- Experience with well-tested, reliable software and agile, CI/CD environments.
- Ability to give direct feedback, ask for help early, learn from mistakes, and grow through feedback.
