Base Salary
$69k - $98k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead process improvements, governance, measurement-system enhancements, and audit supervision for software quality.
- Support engineering teams in developing, optimizing, and implementing compliant processes.
- Lead operating rhythms to improve software First Pass Yield and reduce defect escape rates.
- Act as a gatekeeper for software releases by ensuring processes are followed and design rigor is applied.
- Develop and maintain metrics and measurement systems for continuous improvement.
- Perform failure analysis for nonconformances and develop effective corrective and preventive solutions.
- Audit adherence to documented standards, processes, and procedures.
- Lead by influence and collaborate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders in a matrix environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- At least 4 years of experience in software development, implementation, and/or quality.
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Understanding of process assurance activities, including process audits and corrective and preventive actions.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication, teamwork, energy, and self-accountability.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- Preferred: 7 years of experience in software design, systems, or testing.
- Preferred: familiarity with Five Whys, Fish Bone Diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis, ISO requirements, lead auditor certification, safety-critical software development, CENELEC compliance, and CMMI requirements.
