Responsibilities
- Research, prototype, and develop solutions that improve the Qualys technology platform.
- Develop cloud-native solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
- Design and implement distributed, scalable, high-performance microservice applications.
- Produce high-quality software using scalable architecture and design principles.
- Write unit and integration tests for code.
- Document code, designs, and proposed solutions.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional experience developing applications in Java using Spring Boot and microservices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, programming, and software design skills.
- Understanding of relational databases and NoSQL databases, preferably Cassandra and Elasticsearch.
- Professional experience with indexing technologies such as Elasticsearch and caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, application design, and microservices-oriented architecture.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
- Preferred professional experience with Jenkins and Kubernetes.
- Experience with compliance, audit, governance, risk management, or regulatory compliance products is an advantage.
