Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new or revised application systems and programs to meet business and user needs.
- Perform feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology activities, application development, and model development.
- Manage and monitor application development phases including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
- Provide user and operational support, consult with users and technology groups, and recommend advanced programming solutions.
- Analyze complex application and business-process issues and make evaluative judgments using specialty application-development knowledge.
- Design and develop secure, scalable, resilient, high-performance APIs and integrated enterprise solutions.
- Define and implement testing strategies, debug applications, optimize performance, and support software quality.
- Develop security measures and support compliance, risk management, and control procedures.
- Help establish operating standards and processes while working with limited direct supervision.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in the software development life cycle.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Solid application-development experience delivering robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions.
- Expert proficiency in Core Java, Java EE, Spring Boot, Spring Microservices, and API and web-service development.
- Experience designing integrated enterprise-grade solutions with emphasis on scalability, availability, resilience, and data consistency.
- Advanced coding, debugging, and performance-optimization skills, including Collections and multithreading.
- Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies and high test coverage.
- Hands-on experience with messaging platforms such as Solace or Kafka.
- Practical understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, and security protocols.
- Experience with GitHub Enterprise, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms; AWS ECS and Red Hat OpenShift experience is advantageous.
- Interest or experience in using AI-powered tools and solutions to improve application-development workflows.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
