Responsibilities
- Design and develop engineering solutions aligned with business goals and the technical platform modernization strategy.
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical solution designs.
- Implement solutions jointly with vendors, support testing, and ensure handover to production and L2 support.
- Act as a subject matter expert for L3 support and participate in incident, request, and problem-resolution activities.
- Design, develop, consume, and integrate APIs, microservices, and internal and external web services.
- Build reliability, resiliency, maintainability, reusability, and appropriate testing into engineering solutions.
- Review engineering plans and solution quality to improve reuse and engineering capability.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience in Java solution design and software development.
- Strong development experience with Java and Spring Boot, including design patterns and anti-patterns.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, microservices, SOAP, XML, REST, and JSON.
- Experience developing and deploying solutions on Google Cloud Platform and using Spring Cloud.
- Practical experience configuring and deploying applications with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience with Git, TeamCity, Maven, Sonar, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum practices, including User Stories, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pair Working, and Automated Testing.
- Experience working with card-related systems and Agile team environments.
- Bachelor’s degree focused on IT or data evaluation, or comparable professional experience.
- Ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying responsible and ethical judgment to data and AI outputs.
- Proactive teamwork, communication skills, and good English language skills.
