Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and optimize robust, scalable, high-performance Java applications.
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, architects, and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct code reviews and promote coding standards, development best practices, and security guidelines.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues with a focus on performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps initiatives.
- Lead end-to-end Java development for a region and deliver solutions to requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and operational runbooks.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership within the team.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience in Java application development.
- Strong proficiency with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA, and RESTful Web Services.
- Experience with microservices architecture, API-driven development, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server.
- Experience with Kafka and RabbitMQ, and familiarity with Redis or Hazelcast.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Experience with AWS or Azure; Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Harness, and GitHub Actions.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD implementation, DevOps practices, SonarQube, Checkmarx, and Git.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in banking, financial services, insurance, telecommunications, or large-scale enterprise environments is preferred.
- Experience with Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, or Dynatrace is preferred.
- Java certifications, including Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer, are advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, leadership, collaboration, and mentoring abilities.
