Responsibilities
- Design systems and participate in technical and architectural decisions.
- Build, maintain, and optimize Python services, engineering tools, and data pipelines.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and delivery across the data lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain Apache Airflow workflows, including pipeline testing, monitoring, and reliability.
- Work with Snowflake and dbt as data platform tools.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and environment automation.
- Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Adopt and contribute to AI-assisted engineering and testing practices.
- Contribute to code quality, testing, documentation, engineering standards, and development best practices.
- Collaborate with engineers, data teams, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience, or a master’s degree and two years of related experience.
- Hands-on Python experience, including object-oriented programming, error handling, REST API integrations, and clean-code practices.
- Understanding of SQL and data engineering fundamentals.
- Familiarity with AI tools and technologies for improving engineering workflows and developer productivity.
- Solid understanding of Git and modern software development workflows.
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitLab CI.
- Understanding of system design, technical documentation, and architecture diagrams.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including code reviews and stakeholder collaboration.
- Preferred experience with AWS services including IAM, S3, Glue, Athena, and MWAA/Airflow.
- Preferred experience with Snowflake or Redshift.
- Preferred familiarity with Prometheus, Splunk, or OpenTelemetry.
- Preferred familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Preferred Terraform experience.
- Preferred experience in developer productivity engineering and software development lifecycle support.
