Responsibilities
- Lead the largest and most complex engineering problems and act as a technical leader on cross-functional projects.
- Research ambiguous requirements, run experiments, and collaborate with UX and Product Managers to define solutions.
- Design and build new technology initiatives, features, architectures, and highly available, reliable, and performant services.
- Drive shared technical strategy with Principal Engineers and Architects across multiple teams.
- Partner with engineering and product management teams on initiatives affecting multiple teams.
- Mentor engineers and assist with their career development on advanced technical issues.
- Make technology decisions using strong technical judgment and business judgment.
- Participate in assigned on-call shifts and respond to alerts during those shifts.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience as an engineer and in leading complex engineering projects.
- Experience with cloud technologies, microservices, and SaaS architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Go and familiarity with Java, TypeScript, or other programming languages.
- Domain expertise in Apple, Windows, and Android device management and policy enforcement.
- Deep knowledge of device management architectures, policy management, enrollment, and Apple Push Notification service across macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; Kubernetes; and CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions.
- Experience with distributed systems and databases.
- Experience designing or architecting solutions involving services, frontend systems, and databases.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills for driving complex projects across multiple teams from conception to completion.
- Ability to work through ambiguity, create clarity, and deliver incremental value.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Strong foundation in software engineering design principles.
- Experience working with geographically distributed engineering teams.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Candidates must be located in and authorized to work in India.
