Responsibilities
- Define and drive the long-term technical vision and architecture strategy for the Secure Private Access platform and Zero Trust technologies.
- Lead the design and evolution of scalable, secure, resilient, cloud-native distributed systems.
- Influence architecture, engineering strategy, technical standards, and innovation across multiple organizations.
- Provide technical leadership during production incidents, customer escalations, and security events, including root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions.
- Advise engineering and executive leadership on technical direction and architectural decisions.
- Mentor Principal Engineers and develop technical leadership across the organization.
- Champion AI-enabled engineering practices and platform modernization.
- Drive adoption of SPA architecture, next-generation capabilities, scalability, reliability, performance, and operational improvements.
Requirements
- 15–18+ years of software engineering experience, including significant technical leadership in large-scale infrastructure, networking, or security platforms.
- Hands-on experience contributing to complex distributed systems and cloud-scale services.
- Deep expertise in networking and traffic processing, including data plane architectures, TCP/IP, DNS, WireGuard, and Layer 3/4/7 access enforcement.
- Strong programming experience in Go, C++, Rust, or similar systems languages.
- Deep understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, and identity systems.
- Expertise in one or more of Secure Private Access, Zero Trust Network Access, Secure Service Edge, SASE, VPN/secure connectivity, or enterprise access security platforms.
- Ability to influence engineering strategy across organizations without direct authority.
- Experience mentoring senior engineers and driving impactful technology decisions.
- Expertise in AI-enabled software engineering and platform modernization.
- Ability to translate customer requirements, operational learnings, and market needs into platform and architectural investments.
- Extensive experience leading large-scale production incident, customer escalation, and security event response, including executive communication and root cause analysis.
