Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and evolution of Kaseya’s IAM and Control Plane platform.
- Define technical strategy for authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle management, SSO, MFA, and API security.
- Design, architect, and debug secure, scalable, highly available distributed systems handling global traffic.
- Modernize legacy identity platforms and establish engineering best practices.
- Design and version public-facing APIs used by millions of developers.
- Collaborate across Product, Security, and Engineering on identity and API strategy.
- Recruit and mentor engineering talent to scale security infrastructure.
- Lead multi-quarter projects from conception through global rollout.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience building and managing software applications at massive scale, including at least 5 years at Senior Staff or Principal level.
- Deep expertise in IAM protocols including OAuth2, OIDC, and SAML, along with RBAC, ABAC, and secure session management.
- Experience with Active Directory and implementing federation protocols.
- Experience in data security or related areas, including authentication, network security, Kubernetes security, web security, governance, privacy, trust and safety, identity management, access control, key management, inter-service authentication, secure application frameworks, and detection and response.
- Proven experience designing and debugging large-scale distributed systems handling global traffic.
- Deep knowledge of Go, Java, TypeScript, Rust, or similar programming languages.
- Significant experience designing and versioning public-facing APIs.
- Preferred experience building observable systems with Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and infrastructure automation.
- A background in security engineering or formal verification of protocol implementations is preferred.
