Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and design of scalable AI infrastructure for complex, large-scale systems.
- Define end-to-end architecture for Agent Security, Policy, and Tool Governance across organizational boundaries.
- Establish technical strategies and engineering frameworks for experimentation and evaluation.
- Lead experimentation scorecard analysis and translate results into engineering and product priorities.
- Partner with Product Managers and engineering leaders on scenarios, datasets, evaluation methods, and success criteria.
- Lead data acquisition and evaluation-data strategy, including standards for quality, formatting, accuracy, governance, and reuse.
- Drive technical alignment, engineering investments, and quality improvements across teams.
- Identify and resolve systemic risks and opportunities affecting scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Mentor engineers and provide hands-on principal-level technical leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to pass Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Master's degree and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience building and delivering LLM-powered applications or agents that use tools and execute multi-step workflows preferred.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including coding, debugging, automated testing, abstraction, interface design, and maintainability.
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems or cloud services, including state management, observability, security, and reliability.
- Principal-level technical leadership across teams, including architecture shaping, delivery alignment, influence without direct authority, and mentoring.
- Experience building security for AI solutions preferred.
Benefits
- Typical U.S. base pay range is USD $142,800-$274,800 per year; the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range is USD $188,000-$304,200 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
