Base Salary
$135k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build a performant search and indexing ecosystem for complex, granularly permissioned data
- Contribute to open-source data-processing libraries and integrate performance improvements
- Build distributed systems for large-scale compute workloads and efficiently schedule containerized workloads
- Design architecture and opinionated APIs that simplify application development
- Develop tracing and performance observability for large-scale distributed microservice architectures
- Build scalable storage, authentication, and asset-serving systems for other product teams
- Automate deployment, management, and operations of distributed systems across environments
- Optionally participate in Frontline customer-embedded assignments involving architecture, custom applications, user workshops, and executive strategy
Requirements
- Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or a similar field
- Strong coding skills in Java, C++, Python, Rust, or similar programming languages
- Familiarity with storage and data-processing systems, cloud infrastructure, and other technical tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to iterate quickly and maintain a high quality bar
- Experience developing and managing highly available distributed systems is beneficial but not required
- An active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one is beneficial but not required
