Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production reliability testing infrastructure and availability reporting.
- Define and execute SLI/SLO plans measuring correctness, availability, latency, and other uptime metrics.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand system behavior and interactions across Cloudflare’s production systems.
- Provide feedback to engineering and product teams and improve software development and reliability measurement processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a software engineer or in a similar role with a deep understanding of developing and maintaining distributed systems.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, highly available distributed systems.
- Programming experience with Go, Rust, or Python.
- Hands-on experience measuring correctness, availability, latency, and other uptime metrics using SLOs and SLIs.
- Experience with ClickHouse, Prometheus, GraphQL, Postgres, reliable data pipelines, synthetic traffic, load testing, or extensible engineering platforms is preferred.
