Responsibilities
- Own OpenStack platform architecture across the control plane, compute, storage, networking, high availability, and resource sizing.
- Create High Level Design, Low Level Design, as-built documentation, and operational runbooks.
- Deploy and upgrade OpenStack with Kolla-Ansible and maintain configuration as code in Git.
- Integrate storage, networking, identity, load balancing, metrics, logging, and ServiceNow CMDB.
- Run technical workshops, design reviews, and acceptance testing with client representatives.
- Provide third-line escalation, lead root cause analysis, support presales as a technical expert, and guide team engineers.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, or cloud platforms, including 3 years with OpenStack in production.
- Experience designing OpenStack architecture and completing at least one implementation from design through production handover.
- Strong knowledge of Nova, Neutron, Keystone, Glance, Cinder, Placement, Horizon, Octavia, and Barbican.
- Experience with Kolla-Ansible playbook customization, containerized service lifecycles, Linux administration, KVM, libvirt, and Docker.
- Troubleshooting experience with MariaDB or Galera, RabbitMQ, HAProxy, Keepalived, Redis, and Memcached.
- Strong cloud networking experience with OVN, Open vSwitch, GENEVE or VXLAN overlays, VLAN provider networks, NAT, and floating IP addresses.
- C1-level English sufficient to independently run technical workshops and design reviews with client architects.
- Preferred experience includes VMware exit and migration programs, Cinder storage drivers, NetApp ONTAP, Ceph, SR-IOV, DPDK, CPU pinning, huge pages, NUMA-aware scheduling, Terraform or OpenTofu, Kubernetes on OpenStack, GPU-enabled compute, ServiceNow ITOM Discovery, ITIL-based service models, and sovereign-cloud regulatory requirements.
