Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications for regulatory ingestion, rule extraction, and reporting automation.
- Implement real-time data processing using Spark, Kafka, and Cloudera technologies.
- Analyze application code and systems to identify enhancements, vulnerabilities, and security issues.
- Perform automated testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups; install and support applications.
- Identify problems, evaluate solutions, and implement application improvements with limited supervision.
- Advise or coach new and lower-level analysts.
- Assess and manage technology and compliance risks in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Expertise in Core Java, Apache Kafka, and application development.
- Experience with Spring, Spark, Cloudera, SQL, NoSQL databases, distributed architecture, and big data technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with automated testing, real-time data processing, and performance optimization.
- Experience with Agile methodology and Scrum framework.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Regulatory reporting experience is an added advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or changing requirements.
