Responsibilities
- Build highly available and cost-optimized cloud infrastructure on Azure and AKS.
- Design, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot production AKS clusters, including networking, autoscaling, workload identity, ingress, and certificate management.
- Own Terraform modules, state, workspaces, and multi-environment infrastructure changes.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for container publishing and progressive production promotion.
- Establish monitoring and observability across Kubernetes, applications, and Azure services.
- Lead troubleshooting and risk mitigation across compute, networking, identity, and data layers.
- Implement cloud security practices, vulnerability scanning, threat modeling, and centralized secrets management.
- Maintain multi-region high availability and disaster recovery for Kubernetes workloads and managed databases.
- Partner with application engineering teams to establish operational standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps engineering role with significant Azure experience.
- Experience designing and implementing large-scale Azure solutions.
- Production experience running AKS, including private clusters, upgrades, autoscaling, and incident response.
- Advanced production-level Terraform experience covering modules, state, workspaces, and multi-environment or multi-subscription deployments.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems and architect robust solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator are desirable.
- Knowledge of Azure services including Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities, workload identity federation, Key Vault, and landing zones is desirable.
- Experience with Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Flux, PowerShell, Bash, Python, Go, C#/.NET, Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Azure networking, SQL Managed Instance, Cosmos DB, Redis, Storage, Functions, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, KQL, Datadog, or Grafana is desirable.
- Experience with cloud security, penetration testing, compliance standards, multi-region resilience, disaster recovery, GCP, and GKE is desirable.
