Responsibilities
- Design and further develop solution and overall architectures across data, application, and technology architecture layers.
- Design public-cloud and data platform architectures, particularly with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
- Develop microservice, integration, event-driven, interface, and container-platform architectures.
- Document architectures using UML, arc42, ArchiMate, or comparable templates.
- Advise and coordinate with customers, project teams, and management, and moderate architecture decisions in agile delivery setups.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams on Kubernetes, platform-as-a-service, and modern operating models.
- Address security, data protection, and governance requirements and support complex integration initiatives, especially in the public-sector and federal environment.
Requirements
- Completed tertiary-level computer science education, such as ETH/university, university of applied sciences, bachelor’s, master’s, or comparable training.
- Certified Professional for Software Architecture certification, such as iSAQB or an equivalent qualification.
- Several years of experience as a solution, software, or enterprise architect, including successfully designing and documenting complex architectures.
- Strong knowledge of data analytics, data warehousing, data mesh, data platforms, and data science, with practical experience using Spark.
- Several years of public-cloud experience, particularly with Microsoft Azure, ideally also Microsoft Fabric, plus Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification or equivalent.
- Practical experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, interface design, container platforms, and Kubernetes, including collaboration with DevOps teams.
- Experience with agile approaches such as Scrum and/or SAFe.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer-oriented collaboration skills.
- Very good German and good English skills; experience with federal integration projects and knowledge of cybersecurity and data protection assessments are preferred.
- TOGAF certification is preferred, and HERMES Advanced 2022 certification is an additional advantage.
