Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver innovative features within Power BI.
- Improve AI tools and practices across the software development lifecycle through AI-native development.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members and help raise the engineering bar.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to determine customer and user requirements and assess feasibility.
- Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual on call to monitor services and address degradation, downtime, or interruptions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience involving coding, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 8+ years leading complex technical initiatives across multiple teams, services, or organizations.
- Deep expertise in software architecture, system design, scalability, reliability, performance, and operational excellence.
- Proficiency in Rust, C#, Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
- Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems, cloud platforms, production services, or enterprise software systems.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms, with Azure preferred.
- Understanding of security, privacy, accessibility, compliance, reliability, and Responsible AI principles.
- Experience building or leading AI-powered solutions, production AI applications, LLM-enabled experiences, agentic workflows, intelligent automation, applied machine learning capabilities, or AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Ability to create clarity in ambiguous environments, influence without authority, align stakeholders, communicate complex technical concepts clearly, and mentor senior engineers.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
