Base Salary

$143k - $304k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Determine user requirements and drive dependencies and design documents for products, applications, services, and platforms.
  • Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance, maintainability, effectiveness, and ROI.
  • Design and conduct experiments, monitor prototypes and tests, and interpret experimental results.
  • Partner with stakeholders to drive project plans, release plans, and work items.
  • Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual, guide engineers, monitor services for degradation or downtime, and initiate restoration actions.
  • Drive improvements in availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, performance, monitoring, and operations at scale.
  • Provide technical leadership across runtime architecture, developer tooling, SDK and CLI experiences, AI-enabled workflows, governance systems, and platform services.
  • Mentor engineers, establish engineering standards, and collaborate across Power Apps, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, and ecosystem teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and 10+ years of software engineering experience with C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, React, or Python, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: 8+ years of industry experience in full-stack or backend development shipping services through multiple releases.
  • Preferred: experience building generative AI applications or services.
  • Preferred: experience with the Power Platform or M365 Enterprise development.

Benefits

  • The typical U.S. base pay range is $142,800–$274,800 per year; a different range applies to specified San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area locations.
  • The position requires a Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled, with the position open for a minimum of 5 days.
