Base Salary

$143k - $304k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop large-scale distributed software services and solutions.
  • Drive modern software engineering practices through design and code reviews.
  • Design systems with well-defined interfaces across multiple components and use data and telemetry to inform decisions.
  • Build modular, secure, reliable, diagnosable, monitored, reusable, and maintainable service components.
  • Improve test coverage, implement integration tests, and resolve problem areas.
  • Prioritize testability, portability, monitoring, reliability, and maintainability throughout delivery.
  • Collaborate with mentors and leaders to contribute to cohesive end-to-end user experiences focused on customer and partner needs.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize automation, reliability, monitoring, live-site operations, and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
  • Preferred: 5+ years designing, building, and operating scalable, highly available cloud services or distributed systems on Azure, AWS, GCP, or comparable cloud environments, with production ownership and CI/CD pipeline integration.
  • Preferred: 3+ years building systems emphasizing reliability, durability, and operational efficiency, including live-site operations, incident response, and performance optimization.
  • Preferred: experience leading projects from conception through design, code review, and delivery.
