Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy, architecture, and execution for Power BI Growth & Distribution investments.
- Design and evolve secure, reliable, highly scalable distributed systems serving millions of users across Power BI and Microsoft 365.
- Partner with engineering, product management, design, data science, and other teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Use telemetry, experimentation, and data-informed decisions to improve activation, retention, and engagement.
- Drive architecture reviews, engineering best practices, operational rigor, and mentorship across the organization.
- Influence platform strategy for personalized and collaborative analytics experiences.
- Lead complex cross-team initiatives and align stakeholders around strategic technical decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check screening upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Preferred: master's degree and 8+ years of experience, or bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Experience architecting hyperscale distributed systems, data platforms, or cloud services.
- Deep expertise in storage systems, large-scale computation frameworks, and data lifecycle management.
- Understanding of privacy, security, compliance, and governance requirements in global cloud and data environments.
- Ability to drive architectural alignment across large, complex organizations and establish platform standards across multiple products or business units.
- Strong communication and executive influence skills with experience driving strategic technical decisions.
