Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead debugging, testing, logging, telemetry, verification, and production issue resolution across products.
- Lead incident retrospectives, root-cause analysis, repair actions, and mechanisms to prevent recurrence.
- Apply and promote secure design principles, least-access practices, formal security-invariant validation, and established development best practices.
- Lead product development and scaling efforts to meet customer, performance, and security requirements.
- Lead feature-flag and flighting experiments, interpret results, identify metrics, and make ship decisions with internal partners.
- Embody Microsoft’s culture and values.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
- Preferred: master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor's degree and 12+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base-pay range is USD $142,800-$274,800 per year; a different range applies in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
