Base Salary
$143k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand challenges and identify opportunities.
- Define technology requirements and end-to-end solutions for complex business and engineering challenges.
- Drive architecture planning, design reviews, and software development on the Azure platform.
- Resolve issues and feature gaps across Azure teams and drive systemic platform improvements.
- Determine user requirements and coordinate project plans, release plans, and work items across groups.
- Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual, mentor engineers, and participate in on-call monitoring.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance while promoting consistent monitoring and operations at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to pass Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in a cloud platform area such as compute, networking, or storage on Azure or competing cloud technologies.
- Experience designing complicated large-scale software systems and working with telemetry pipelines, semantic data modeling, and knowledge graphs.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity, define technical direction, align cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and improve engineering quality.
- Experience building production-grade agentic systems, establishing AI quality and safety mechanisms, applying AI to cloud operations, and using Azure services and secure deployment practices.
- Experience with applied AI/ML or generative AI systems, including technologies such as LLM integration, RAG, embeddings, prompt/context engineering, AI evaluation, classification models, semantic search, or agent frameworks.
