  • Design metadata models, multi-tenancy, extensibility, versioned APIs, and safe publish, promote, and rollback workflows.
  • Architect interpreters, query and authorization layers, workflow and state engines, search and reporting, and UI runtimes across varied technology stacks.
  • Design distributed systems for consistency, fault tolerance, partitioning, high availability, horizontal scale, and high-volume transactions.
  • Build event-driven and event-sourced architectures including saga and workflow orchestration, streaming, change data capture, and transactional data stores.
  • Evolve schemas and contracts while preserving backward compatibility and migrating in-flight data and workflows.
  • Operate cloud-native production systems with monitoring, alerting, incident response, cost governance, and post-mortem practices.
  • Set technical direction across multiple engineering teams, translate business needs into designs, and communicate trade-offs to engineers and executives.

Requirements

  • Experience leading the architecture of a configuration-driven platform used by multiple engineering teams.
  • Broad experience across interpreters or compilers, query and authorization layers, workflow engines, search and reporting, UI runtimes, and varied data stores.
  • Deep distributed-systems expertise covering consistency models, fault tolerance, partitioning, failure analysis, high availability, and horizontal scale.
  • Strong experience with event-driven and event-sourced architecture, saga and workflow orchestration, streaming platforms, change data capture, and transactional data stores.
  • Deep proficiency in Spring Boot or equivalent, microservices patterns, and asynchronous programming using virtual threads, coroutines, or reactive programming.
  • Expertise with relational or NoSQL databases at scale, including schema design, query optimization, migrations, and transaction management.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-native software development, coding agents, tool calling, graph-based orchestration, context management, and structured-output validation.
  • Cloud-native production experience on AWS or comparable platforms, including Kubernetes, identity and access management, cost governance, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
  • Preferred experience with expression, rule, or policy engines; CQRS; event sourcing; saga orchestration; enterprise modernization; compliance and AI governance; LLM and ML production services; APIs, ETL, and event streams; developer SDKs and test harnesses; AI-assisted operations; and chaos engineering.
