Base Salary
$215k - $266k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead design, implementation, and optimization of backend services for the RTK Corrections Network.
- Build and evolve API-first services that are clear, well-documented, and reliable.
- Break down high-level goals into actionable tasks and hold yourself accountable for delivery.
- Drive performance improvements across latency, throughput, and cost.
- Own the ingestion, processing, and distribution of GNSS correction data.
- Design streaming and connectivity paths for reliable corrections delivery.
- Ensure high availability and graceful degradation of distributed systems.
- Maintain observability through metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.
- Engage with customers to translate needs into durable technical solutions.
- Design and maintain rigorous testing strategies for backend services.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, focusing on backend or distributed systems.
- Proven ability to design, build, and operate production backend services and APIs at scale.
- Strong proficiency in a backend language such as Go, Java, or Python.
- Deep understanding of networking fundamentals and experience with low-latency services.
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems with a focus on availability and observability.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
