Responsibilities
- Build infrastructure capable of managing metadata for hundreds of billions of files.
- Lead the expansion of Dropbox's function as a global data-fabric.
- Measure and optimize Dropbox's analytics platform for meaningful insights.
- Collaborate with teams to enhance performance, reliability, and security.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvements in projects.
- Navigate ambiguous situations and demonstrate strategic thinking.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 9+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven track record in constructing and managing multi-threaded backend systems.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Go, C/C++, or Java.
- Extensive experience with operating system internals, filesystems, and networks is advantageous.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and solve open-ended problems.
- Capable of taking ownership of long-term projects.
- Ability to set medium-to-long term strategy for impactful projects.
