Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deliver product-module features while contributing to module-level design and cross-module technical decisions.
- Own technical problems from investigation and solution design through implementation, release, and stakeholder follow-up.
- Apply maintainable coding, unit and integration testing, observability, security, performance, and reliability practices.
- Investigate complex defects and improve the reliability, scalability, and quality of existing systems.
- Translate customer and business needs into robust engineering solutions with peers and stakeholders.
- Use AI agents and AI-assisted engineering tools while validating generated outputs for correctness, security, maintainability, and quality.
- Shape and use clear specifications to guide implementation and testing as requirements evolve.
- Contribute to planning and technical discussions, identify risks and dependencies, and support predictable delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 6+ years of software development experience, or a master’s degree and 5+ years of experience, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience developing software with Java 11+ and the Spring Framework.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, the Nova Framework, SQL, and the Tomcat Application Server.
- Ability to design, independently implement, test, and deliver scoped features across frontend and backend layers.
- Demonstrated ownership of technical problems from requirements clarification through implementation, release, and follow-up.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals including debugging, code review, automated testing, source control, and maintainable application development.
- Experience with DevOps practices and continuous integration and deployment pipelines is a plus.
- Practical experience using AI coding assistants or agents and validating generated code.
- Preferred experience with spec-driven development and translating requirements into specifications for implementation and verification.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including technical guidance and peer review participation.
