Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain critical scalable platform software for the Harness IACM product.
- Author functional specifications and design documents and perform peer reviews of specifications, designs, and code.
- Own key system components and their delivered quality while diagnosing complex distributed-system problems.
- Establish team best practices for quality, performance, and architecture.
- Mentor Software Engineers and Senior Software Engineers and provide technical leadership.
- Identify technical debt and scaling issues and drive improvements in the codebase.
- Work with Site Reliability Engineers and cross-functional teams to diagnose and troubleshoot production performance issues.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience developing highly scalable, distributed applications, products, and services in Java and Golang.
- Experience designing and developing REST, gRPC, and GraphQL APIs.
- Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, software design, analytical skills, and debugging.
- Experience developing SaaS platforms at scale.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, advanced degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
- Ability and desire to build products solving complex technical problems with a high level of quality.
