Responsibilities

  • Lead the rollout of new technology across consumer billing platforms with safe, predictable delivery and minimal disruption.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery from solution design through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Design and evolve cloud-native billing solutions using Java/Spring Boot, AWS, EKS, microservices, API-first architectures, and scalable integration patterns.
  • Build and enhance backend microservices supporting billing journeys, integrations, and platform modernization.
  • Review, optimize, and troubleshoot application code, service interactions, container deployments, and database access.
  • Lead production readiness, resilience planning, performance tuning, observability, and root-cause analysis for customer- and revenue-impacting incidents.
  • Guide Oracle DB usage, data access patterns, schema considerations, billing reconciliations, and NetCracker RBM integrations.
  • Provide technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, architectural guidance, mentoring, and engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, QA, Operations, and dependent delivery teams on technical decisions, risks, and priorities.

Requirements

  • Strong experience building and supporting scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and API-first architectures.
  • Proven expertise deploying and operating cloud-native applications in AWS and EKS, including containerization, observability, resilience, and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience leading end-to-end engineering delivery, making architectural decisions, mentoring engineers, and driving operational excellence across complex enterprise platforms.
  • Oracle Database expertise, including schema design, performance tuning, and data integration, is desirable.
  • Consumer billing platform experience in telecommunications or other large-scale enterprise environments is desirable.
  • NetCracker RBM knowledge, event-driven architecture, domain-driven design, CI/CD automation, DevOps tooling, production support, incident management, and resilience planning are desirable.
  • Experience managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships across Product, Architecture, Security, QA, and Operations is desirable.
