Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end architecture for assigned ServiceNow products from discovery and design through release, adoption, and lifecycle improvement.
- Lead architecture reviews and design-authority forums, approve designs within delegated authority, and escalate enterprise-wide decisions.
- Establish platform guardrails, reusable patterns, coding and integration standards, and review internal and vendor designs.
- Act as the functional and technical owner for assigned application areas and partner with business Product Owners.
- Shape ideas, enhancements, and technical debt into prioritized features, epics, and stories.
- Design integrations using IntegrationHub, APIs, events, and MID Server, and define data ownership and lifecycle expectations.
- Apply CMDB, CSDM, Service Graph, and service-modeling principles and guide adoption of ServiceNow AI capabilities.
- Partner with developers, analysts, and vendors to remove technical blockers, build prototypes, and review code and integration patterns.
- Maintain architecture roadmaps, support upgrade and release planning, prioritize technical debt, and mentor developers.
- Facilitate discovery and design workshops, demonstrate capabilities to business stakeholders, and provide technical direction to implementation partners and vendors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of enterprise platform or application delivery experience, including at least 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow experience.
- Proven ownership of solution architecture in a large enterprise with multiple business units, tenants, or regions.
- Experience leading architecture reviews, setting standards, and influencing senior business and technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on knowledge of Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, scoped applications, JavaScript, ServiceNow APIs, REST, SOAP, and security controls.
- Experience with product delivery activities including backlog refinement, prioritization, and release planning.
- Experience with ServiceNow AI capabilities and related technologies including MCP, Tools, AI Studio, Now Assist Skills, Agents, A2A interactions, and agentic workflows.
- Architecture or implementation experience across ServiceNow domains such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB/CSDM, AIOps, CSM, CRM, HRSD, SecOps, or SPM.
- Experience with Service Graph, Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB governance and data certification.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise ERP, HR, CRM, identity, and security systems in a global environment.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification is required or expected shortly after hire; Certified Application Developer is strongly preferred.
- Certified Technical Architect, Certified Master Architect, relevant Certified Implementation Specialist, ITIL 4 Foundation, and Agile product certifications are preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work from Boise across US and global time zones.
