Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise API platform capabilities, including onboarding, governance, catalog management, developer portals, and lifecycle management.
  • Build scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, REST APIs, GraphQL, and microservices.
  • Develop responsive developer-facing web applications using React and TypeScript.
  • Apply Domain-Driven Design, event-driven architecture, API-first design, and microservices patterns.
  • Automate API registration, testing, compliance validation, security controls, and deployment workflows through DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production environments for reliability, performance, observability, scalability, and operational readiness.
  • Integrate AI-powered capabilities into platform services while supporting governance, testing, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
  • Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, contribute to technical strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Five to six years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, enterprise applications, and modern API technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, distributed microservices, and API management and governance.
  • Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger, API lifecycle management, documentation, and developer enablement.
  • Proficiency with React, TypeScript, and responsive UI development.
  • Understanding of Domain-Driven Design, event-driven systems, integration patterns, and modern software architecture.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native development.
  • Understanding of software and API security, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, secure coding, and authentication and authorization frameworks.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Aurora, or MongoDB, including data modeling and performance optimization.
  • Experience implementing observability solutions such as logging, monitoring, distributed tracing, alerting, and operational dashboards.
  • Experience integrating AI/GenAI capabilities into enterprise applications and services, including knowledge of prompt engineering, AI governance, model lifecycle management, and responsible AI practices.
  • Experience with asynchronous messaging and event streaming technologies.
