Responsibilities
- Shape the technical strategy and decision-making across the Enterprise team.
- Mentor and grow multiple senior engineers through coaching and workshops.
- Tackle complex technical challenges in permissions architecture and compliance systems.
- Partner with Product and Design leaders to integrate technical considerations into product decisions.
- Champion technical excellence and best practices across the Enterprise team.
- Handle technical escalations and facilitate resolutions for complex disagreements.
- Design system boundaries and ownership models for team autonomy.
- Collaborate with external partners to represent Asana's technical capabilities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record in technical strategy.
- Experience in enterprise software or B2B SaaS environments.
- Demonstrated success in mentoring and developing senior engineers.
- Strong expertise in scalable system architecture and complex permissions systems.
- Ability to thrive in collaborative environments with Product and Design stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills for navigating complex technical discussions.
- Understanding of enterprise platform challenges and data governance.
- Experience in solving systemic technical problems impacting multiple teams.
