Responsibilities
- Drive enterprise sales by nurturing prospects and supporting strategic and enterprise customers.
- Conduct discovery, qualification, technical demos, and proof-of-value workshops for prospective customers.
- Handle Postman technical questions and objections by providing solutions or workarounds.
- Understand customer workflows and guide adoption of API-first development best practices.
- Share customer feedback with internal teams and advocate for customers.
- Stay current with the API market's competitive landscape, trends, and challenges.
- Create proof-of-concept integrations, tooling, and workflows to support prospective customers.
- Maintain customer sandbox environments and product usage best practices.
- Act as a technical intermediary between sales and other teams to align solutions with customer needs.
Requirements
- 8+ years of enterprise sales or solutions engineering experience.
- 4+ years of software development experience.
- 4+ years of API and data platforms experience, as stated in the posting.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant work experience.
- Customer-facing experience with the ability to engage developers, QA, product teams, engineering leaders, senior management, and executive audiences.
- Strong understanding of APIs and experience producing and consuming APIs across different domains.
- Strong understanding of modern development methodologies, DevOps, and the software development life cycle.
- Experience with enterprise SaaS sales processes, common cloud-service security concerns, and enterprise sales strategies.
- Experience with sales methodologies including MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, and Command of the Message.
- Familiarity with developer tooling, Git, CI/CD, monitoring services, microservices, containers, and cloud computing services.
- Excellent communication, listening, presentation, verbal, and written skills; willingness to learn new technologies.
