Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a high-performance 24/7 image-processing system capable of processing up to terabytes of 3D and raster images per day.
- Implement image segmentation, feature extraction, object recognition, and other image-processing algorithms.
- Develop backend tools and applications for visualizing and manipulating 3D images and point-cloud data.
- Optimize processing speed and memory usage.
- Implement database solutions for efficient image-data storage and retrieval.
- Integrate the system with embedded devices using gRPC.
- Collaborate with microscope hardware engineers and other team members on end-to-end workflow integration.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core.
- Strong understanding of performance optimization and image-processing algorithms and techniques.
- Experience with raster image processing and manipulation.
- Familiarity with TIFF, JPEG, and PNG image formats.
- Knowledge of multithreading and parallel processing.
- Experience with SQL and large-storage database management using MS SQL or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with ADO.NET, Entity Framework, or Dapper.
- Familiarity with gRPC.
- Experience with OpenCV, EmguCV, or ImageMagick is preferred.
- Experience with healthcare image processing or Zeiss CZI is preferred.
