Responsibilities
- Design and develop core services, APIs, and infrastructure for the AI Software Factory.
- Build orchestration systems that coordinate specialized agents, manage dependencies, schedule work, and support long-running asynchronous workflows.
- Develop secure, stateful agent runtimes with lifecycle management, context handling, tool invocation, retries, recovery, and execution isolation.
- Implement sandboxing, fine-grained permissions, and security boundaries for agent interactions with code, tools, and internal systems.
- Integrate LLMs, development workflows, internal APIs, and external tools through secure interfaces and standards such as MCP and A2A.
- Enable engineers to guide, supervise, and collaborate with autonomous agents.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, experiment with architectural patterns, and help define autonomous software engineering practices.
- Apply distributed-systems, concurrency, fault-tolerance, and software-architecture expertise to complex engineering problems.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience, ideally with Go, building robust backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native infrastructure, ideally on Google Cloud Platform.
- Understanding of concurrency, failures, asynchronous execution, complex state transitions, and distributed-system design.
- Commitment to clean architecture, well-designed APIs, maintainable code, and automated testing.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, isolation, security boundaries, and execution of untrusted workloads.
- Curiosity about LLMs and autonomous agents, including tool calling, context management, multi-agent collaboration, and agent orchestration.
- Willingness to explore emerging technologies, navigate ambiguity, take ownership of difficult technical problems, and contribute to architecture decisions.
- Experience with Google ADK, MCP, A2A, gVisor, WebAssembly, event-driven architectures, workflow engines, distributed schedulers, AI coding agents, OAuth, RDF, or SPARQL is a bonus rather than a requirement.
Benefits
- Customised benefits package based on location.
- Choice of preferred tech equipment.
- Remote work with occasional in-person gatherings.
- Five additional paid days off annually and work-anniversary recognition.
- Health and wellness support, including designated wellness packs and access to Headspace.
- Quarterly development talks, weekly work-time training and development, Udemy courses, career paths, and internal mentorship.
- Customised onboarding plan.
- Opportunity to work from another Signicat office for two months per year and from any EU country for three weeks per year.
- Employee engagement and feedback tools.
