Base Salary
$150k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services and APIs for identity resolution, graph transparency, and integrations.
- Develop and optimize event-driven pipelines and workflows processing billions of signals.
- Deploy and operate cloud-native services on EKS and Kubernetes using Helm.
- Ensure reliability, observability, and scalability across services and data pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to deliver end-to-end identity solutions.
- Mentor engineers and influence architecture and roadmap decisions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend and/or data-engineering experience at scale.
- Strong skills in Python, Java, or Scala, with expertise in APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven design.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar technologies, Spark, Hive, or Flink, and workflow schedulers such as Airflow or Luigi.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, preferably EKS, along with Helm and service-mesh deployment practices.
- Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and cloud platforms including AWS.
- Familiarity with columnar or NoSQL databases such as Aerospike, Snowflake, HBase, Scylla, or Couchbase.
- Strong communication skills and a record of driving technical direction and mentoring teams.
- Large-scale or multi-tenant distributed-systems experience is a bonus.
- Exposure to real-time streaming frameworks such as Flink or Storm is a bonus.
- Knowledge of open table formats such as Iceberg, Hudi, or Delta Lake is a bonus.
- Background in security, compliance, or privacy related to identity systems is a bonus.
