Base Salary
$152k - $228k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and scale backend systems and onboard modules for the Routing team.
- Design services, optimize routing algorithms, and work with road-network graphs.
- Build monitoring and analytics infrastructure and optimize the deployment pipeline.
- Develop tooling that helps engineers troubleshoot, debug, and profile applications.
- Collaborate with product, strategy, operations, design, PMs, UX researchers, engineers, and other stakeholders on product requirements, designs, strategy, and roadmap.
Requirements
- At least 3–5 years of experience building and scaling real-time server-side applications.
- Proficiency in C++ programming.
- Experience solving large-scale, complex algorithm problems while balancing correctness and performance.
- Experience with relational, non-relational, and data-warehouse technologies, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigTable, Cassandra, Redis, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
- Familiarity with RPC frameworks such as gRPC and Thrift, and pub/sub systems such as Kafka, Cloud PubSub, or Celery.
- Extensive experience with cloud providers such as GCP or AWS.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, or willingness to learn them.
- Preferred experience with routing algorithms, map data, graph data structures, robotics, or ETA modeling.
